Update

I've done some editing to "My Lovely"; not sure if it makes it any better, really. One thing I've learned about tyring to write? I have a lot to learn. I really need to take some writing classes so I can make my ideas become reality. I need to make my stories flow better, be less choppy. No wonder so many writer are alcoholic. ;-)

Hmmm. I think the what you're seeing is problems with your story's "shape". Your character seems to be sane at the beginning, and then we get hints that he's got issues, but then it hits a peak in the middle of the story: the craziest thing he does is lose it as the post office. He can get a lot crazier than that before he hits the "not funny" point.

My suggestion? He talks about going to L.A., so send him there and see what happens.
