Sometimes a visit to the H.C. is the best part of going to the Castro (a little too often, actually, but nevermind).
BTW, "Toad Hall"? Did they really call it that? I going to have to re-read Tales of the City, as I missed that the last time I read it.
Fear not, Dave. Hot Cookie is actually still there. Double Rainbow is just a facade. Feel free to come on up to the Castro and partake in the Hot Cookie goodness anytime. Once the filming is complete, all signs will return and the Castro will modern, again!
As for Toad Hall? I don't know, it like being at Disneyland's Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.
